The dress is wonderful because it is basically a strapless dress, but has the off-shoulder sleeves that make it feel and appear more than just a strapless dress.This dress is hard to let go of! But if it will make someone else feel as beautiful as I felt on my wedding day, then it is worth it! It will fit well if you are a stock size 4 and about 5'4" height. It was altered to me but very minor adjustments to smooth out the fabric. The dress has bra cups sewn in, but can easily be removed. The alterations woman made the sleeves adjustable for me so they have buttons to let them out a bit if you like. Sometimes when I was dancing I would slip my arms out of the sleeves so i could fist pump, and the dress stayed on really well, so you can always tuck in the sleeves into the dress if you find that necessary. I am going to just tell you that when you wear this Augusta dress, you feel like a bride. There was no other dress I tried on that made me feel like this dress did. It is flattering for smaller, slightly curvy figures as well as petite straight figures. The dress accentuated my figure as well as made me feel small because of the drama on the back. I didn't want to take it off! The big ruffle/bustle on the back is removeable, but it's so gorgeous and adds so much drama to the dress that I decided to leave it on the whole wedding night. The ruffle pieces has strings that are tied onto the dress. It is pretty easy to figure out once you look at it for a few seconds. For the actual bustle, the dress has strings sewn underneath it that are numbered, so it can easily be bustled for dancing. My MOH was able to do it fast and easy in a quick amount of time! There should be no flaws on this dress because it was professionally cleaned, and I know it held up well.
