Never saw myself in a ballgown but this dress gave me the tight fit I wanted up top and gave me the room to move on the bottom I really appreciated the day of. It was the last one I tried after a lot of more mermaid-fit gowns and everyone, including me, immediately knew it was the one. It gave me the simple classic elegance that I didn't realize was what I wanted for my day. :) It is a lot of fabric but with the top fitted, it was so comfortable and stayed in place all day and night.
Ordered in September of 2021, the dress arrived in January 2022 for my wedding later that year.
Alterations: The dress bodice was taken in from an original label size 14 probably closer to a 12 and cups were sewn in. The dress was hemmed for me in heels (5'6" + ~2" heels) including some of the underskirt. Got a bustle put in - just a sturdy loop marked with 3 small pearly attachments matching the reinforced button on the bodice with the same attachment (shown in pictures). The bustle was secure enough for me to not worry about it throughout the entire night of dancing and running around!
Condition: The dress has been professionally cleaned. A couple of buttons popped off during my wedding but I got new ones sewn on. I think there may have been a little bit of residual staining around the hem that didn't quite get removed but my tailor hemmed the bottom a little more so that they wouldn't show.
